Never Forget the One | Pt.3
One of the greatest mistakes we can make as believers is assuming that only pastors or church leaders are called to reach people. The truth is that every believer has a ministry and every believer has a message.
God has placed people in my life that only I can reach. He has placed people in your life that only you can reach. That is not an accident. It is an assignment.
Jesus said, "Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men." If I am following Christ, I should care about the things He cares about. Jesus came to seek and save those who were lost. That means His mission becomes my mission.
Many people feel unqualified to share their faith. They believe they do not know enough Scripture or do not have the right personality. But God is not asking me to be someone else. He is asking me to tell my story.
I can tell people what my life was like before Christ. I can tell them how I met Him. I can tell them what He has done in my life since then.
That message carries more power than I often realize.
The Bible says that those who win souls are wise. One of the simplest ways we can reach people is through acts of kindness. A meal for a family in need. A conversation with someone who feels forgotten. A helping hand during a difficult season. A simple invitation to church.
Seeds of kindness often open doors that sermons never could.
Jesus understood that people need more than information. They need hope. They need love. They need someone willing to notice them when everyone else walks by.
In Luke 15, Jesus tells the story of the shepherd who leaves ninety nine sheep to find the one that is lost. When he finds that sheep, he does not condemn it. He carries it home and rejoices.
That is the heart of God.
He loves the lost.
He pursues the lost.
He carries the lost.
He celebrates when the lost are found.
As leaders, we should do the same.
This week, ask God to show you someone who needs encouragement. Look for a need you can meet. Look for a hurt you can help heal. Share your story when the opportunity comes.
Never underestimate what God can do through one conversation, one invitation, one act of kindness, or one life surrendered to Him.
Never forget the one because God never does.
