In His Presence: The Answer for Every Struggle

There’s something powerful that happens when we get into the presence of God. I believe with all my heart that when we get in His presence, His presence gets in us. It gets in our marriage, our parenting, our leadership, our business decisions, and even our struggles.

We live in a culture that is overwhelmed, distracted, stressed, anxious, and spiritually exhausted. But here’s what I want you to understand: your answer is not found in working harder. Your answer is found in getting closer to God.

His Presence Changes Everything

The presence of God is what separates us from the world.

It’s not our education, our influence, our salary, or our success. It’s the presence of God on our lives.

When a leader spends time with God, it changes the way they lead. When a husband spends time with God, it changes the way he loves. When a business owner spends time with God, it changes the way they build.

His presence changes our character, our choices, and our conduct.

Jesus Gives an Invitation

Jesus said:

“Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28

Many people are carrying burdens they were never designed to carry alone.

I meet leaders all the time who are emotionally exhausted. They’re carrying pressure from work, family, finances, and life itself.

But only God can give real rest.

Not money. Not success. Not status.

Real rest only comes from His presence.

The Pattern for Transformation

Jesus gives us a simple pattern:

Come

Bring your struggles, fears, failures, and frustrations to Him.

Take

Jesus said:

“Take my yoke upon you…”

The yoke represents discipleship. It means surrender, obedience, and learning to follow God daily.

Learn

Jesus said:

“…learn of me.”

The strongest leaders are lifelong learners. Pride blocks growth, but humility invites growth.

Intimacy Produces Stability

When you spend time in God’s presence:

  • Anxiety decreases

  • Fear loses power

  • Stress begins to break

  • Peace grows stronger

The presence of God stabilizes your soul.

That doesn’t mean life becomes easy. It means you stop facing life alone.

A Marriage Restored

I remember counseling a couple that was struggling deeply in their marriage. After listening to them, I finally told them, “I don’t have the answer—but God does.”

I challenged them to begin reading the Bible and praying together every day.

A month later they came back completely different. Their hearts had softened, and their marriage was healing.

What changed?

His presence.

Because when people get in God’s presence, God begins changing hearts.

Leadership Application

This week, schedule intentional time with God before you schedule anything else.

Even 15 focused minutes daily can begin changing your emotional health, leadership clarity, decision-making, and spiritual strength.

Don’t just ask God to bless your leadership. Lead from His presence.

Because when you get in His presence, His presence gets in you.
